"We need a world that insists upon safety and dignity for all of us—not because we are beautiful, healthy, blameless, exceptional, or beyond reproach, but because we are human beings.”

SPECIALIST SERVICES

01

NEURODIVERSITY

Diverse neurotypes are frequently overlooked in both treatment and discussions surrounding eating behaviors. Drawing from my own lived experience with neurodivergence, I prioritize this aspect when working with clients who also identify as neurodivergent. I love supporting my clients in distinguishing between behaviors labelled 'negative/problematic' and those that are simply a manifestation of their unique neurodivergent traits.

TRAUMA-INFORMED

03

My approach is firmly rooted in a trauma-informed perspective. I believe that the experiences of trauma profoundly influence our identities, how we navigate the world, and the behaviors we exhibit as a result. Exploring the realm of emotional eating, or its absence, offers a powerful insight into our individual journeys and the impact of our past experiences on our relationship with food and nourishment. This is a powerful piece of the puzzle I love helping clients figure out.

02

SIZE-INCLUSIVE

I am deeply committed to providing support to clients of all body sizes. Individuals in higher weight bodies often encounter blatant discrimination and societal stigma, not only in healthcare settings but in their everyday lives. One's worth should never be determined by their weight. Life already presents its own challenges, and it's about damn time we allow bodies to simply be bodies, without judgment or prejudice.

04

PERSON-CENTRED

Recognizing the uniqueness of every individual's life, I tailor my support to meet their specific needs. While a quick Google search will bring a multitude of generic meal plans, my role is to provide personalised guidance. Our journey together is an exploration, an evolving process where some strategies may resonate while others may not, and that's perfectly alright and expected! Embracing the messiness and variability of our work is essential, as there is no one-size-fits-all approach to nourishment and well-being.

I would like to respectfully acknowledge the Wurundjeri People as the Traditional Owners of the land, the Aboriginal and First Nations peoples of Australia, and pay my respects to their Elders past, present, and emerging. I also acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land where I currently work, in Naarm (Melbourne), and recognize that sovereignty was never ceded. I am grateful for the opportunity to live and work on this land and strive for cultural understanding and reconciliation.
